This is a wonderfully scenic and relaxing area ideally located for a
holiday or short break. We are three miles from Yeovil, fifteen minutes
from the A303, thirty minutes from Taunton and Dorchester,
approximately one hour from
Bath, Wells, Salisbury and Exeter.
There is lots to do and see. This is an area rich in history and an
ideal base to explore the Jurassic coast line. (England's
first natural
world heritage site).
Seaside resorts of Burton Bradstock, Bridport and
Lyme Regis all within easy reach.
Soak up Thomas Hardy's landscape, made
famous in his book "Far from the
Madding Crowd".
Sherborne Castle, the swannery and
subtropical gardens at Abbotsbury
National Trust Houses of Montacute, (shown Below),
Barrington Court, Lytes Cary and Stourhead

Lovely walks, golf and riding readily at hand.
Excellent pubs are in nearby East Coker - a village dating back to
Norman times, it is the birthplace of the navigator, pirate and
botanist, William Dampier and final resting place of Poet T.S. Eliot
who is buried in the
Parish Church of St. Michael.
